Children’s rights and the Global Goals
Discover the connection between the articles of the UNCRC and various Global Goals and targets.
Purpose
To help pupils understand that issues relating to rights and justice are closely linked with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Preparations
Prepare a number of articles from the UNCRC to hand out, and examine facts.
Do it like this
- Hand out different articles from the Convention to the pupils, such as articles 2, 6, 19, 23, 24, 28, 29 and 38.
- Each pupil or pair/group will connect ’their’ article to one or several global goals. The children can use The Globe, or this page as a starting point, where various connections are outlined here.
