Preparing for Changemaker Day
Visit a school in Sweden and see how they prepare for their own Changemaker Day, creating posters, drawings and calls for change.
Based on their new knowledge and insights, in the Ålsten school in Sweden, they produce paintings, as well as short placard messages and speeches for Changemaker Day! Everything that the students produce during preparations, they can later be used in the activities My Voice for Change and Round the Globe for Rights and Change. During the work on the 2023 WCP Program, you can explore many different child rights issues in The Globe that are linked with calls to action such as: Children have a right to education. Girls have equal rights. Protect children against violence. Stop climate change. End child marriage. Children need a safe home. Health care for all children. Protect refugee children. Stop child labour. Children choose Now, students have a chance to make their voices heard. They can choose what they want to say to friends and family, neighbours, local leaders and the media. Use this method to help students find the best way of formulating messages about what is most important to them.
