The Rights of the Child

Right to be free

No child should do any work that harms their health or prevents them from going to school. You have the right to be protected from hard labour, slavery and being exploited for financial gain. Explore resources about about Child labour and slavery.

Girls' equal rights

Do girls and boys in your family and community have equal rights and opportunities? Do parents, teachers and other adults treat girls and boys equally in schools where you live. Right to education

Caring for Earth

Sometimes, our actions can harm the Earth more than we might think. And if Earth is harmed, many children will suffer harsh rights violations such as lack of food and water, polluted air, and natural disasters. | Explore resources about about the Caring for Earth.

Right to protection

You have the right to protection from violence and abuse, both physical and psychological. Children suffer the most in violent situations, whether it happens in their own homes or a war.
