Round the World Run
for a better world

The Round the World Run for a better world is about making children’s voices heard for the Global Goals for sustainable development.

Before you actually run, or walk if you prefer, you and your friends will learn about the Global Goals. This year we focus especially on Goal 5, for gender equality, Goal 10, for reduced inequalities and Goal 16, for Peace, Justice and strong institutions.

Talk about change
If you like, make banners and signs about what changes you want to see, and share your opinions on social media. On April 1, children around the globe join in the Round the World Run. Begin by telling the media, friends and family about the changes you feel most strongly about.

Reach around the globe
Outside, in the school yard, you and your friends will form a human chain, fingertip to fingertip. Measure how long your chain is, then let the WCP know. We will add all the human chains made by children on this day, so that together you will reach around the world with your call to action for a better world. End the activity by running or walking 3 km. Together with children from many countries, you will run circles around the world many times over on this day.

As we get closer to April 1 and the Round the World-run, this page will be updated with more information and stories!
