Remember Nelson Mandela

Child Rights Hero Nelson Mandela passed away on the December 5, 95 years old. He will always be remembered as a role-model and inspiration for all. "Madiba" as he was called, has said:
“It is in your hands to make a difference.” We will never forget his words and will keep trying to make the world into a better place, one small step at a time.
Nelson Mandela was a long-time patron and Laureate of the World’s Children’s Prize, and was also elected the WCP Decade Child Rights Hero in 2009 together with his wife, children’s champion Graça Machel. When he became the first democratically elected president of South Africa, after 27 years in prison, children of all colors gained equal rights for the first time. Mandela continued tonight for the rights of South Africa’s children throughout his life. For example, he ran his own children’s foundation, the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund (NMCF), which helps children whose parents have died of AIDS, street children, disabled children and those living in poverty.
Remember Mandela and perhaps learn something new about his life’s work and struggle in our stories and a short graphic novel about his life and struggle:
